2025-2026 Mountain Bay Foundation Scholarship Application
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide students with the opportunity to become certified scuba divers in order to foster a deeper understanding of marine life and ocean conservation. By equipping students with the skills and experience needed to explore underwater ecosystems firsthand, this scholarship aims to inspire the next generation of environmental advocates who are passionate about protecting our aquatic ecosystems and the diverse life they support. Through immersive, hands-on learning, students will gain both knowledge and appreciation for marine biodiversity and the urgent need for its preservation.
Guidelines
The applicant must be between 14-21 years old and reside in the greater Fox Valley area.
Scholarship funds will be used to cover the cost of classes for Scuba diving certification, supplies, gear, and/or experiences.
The award will be based on the quality of the application. The MBF Scholarship Committee will review the applications and submit awardees to the MBF Board of Directors for final approval.
The MBF President will notify the recipient of the award and explain the process for receipt of the award.
The award will be distributed (by check) per purchasing invoice and receipts to the location of scuba learning and training. Recipients are required to provide timely information regarding the amount by an invoice to facilitate check distribution.
Awardees will be recognized on the Mountain Bay Foundation website. Upon request, awardees will be asked to provide a photo and authorize its use on the website. Awardees are encouraged, but not required to submit a statement of appreciation and, if provided, authorize its use in the publication of related promotional materials for the scholarship program.

The amount of this scholarship is a minimum of $500.
